A #Weekend #Friend

A thud on the window panes rushed me to the balcony.

To delight me, stood there a the huge, dark, strong built, cloud pouring his heart out in full flurry. He seemed too provoked, demostrating his muscle power, challenged by the strong gust which just wouldn't let him rest.

Like a playful naughty friend in the rain,  prompting you to join..the pourdown teased me to step out further into the balcony and join in the jubilation. Half drenched, half wanting to get drenched....I joined him in his dance, smiling ear to ear, understanding fully well his intent.

When a happy you meets an equally joyous partner, the delight gets multiplied, not just doubled!!
 Same was the case here!

Reciprocated by equal energy, this rain play manifested the feeling of a theatrical by 2 school kids  jumping in puddles, soaked in mud and water, clothes spoilt, hair messed up, singing their heart out, rejoicing each other's company. Complete Bliss.

The cloud appeared contended with the acceptance of his invite and mellowed down to a smoother performance.

Once our excitement reduced, I looked around with returned consciousness, noticing the roads that went deserted, the clothesline that turned heavier with drenched clothes, the pegions that took shelter under A.C. vents, the dogs yet running for a roof (or maybe they were playing too) and the chatter of people hanging in their balconies.

The leaves of plants in the balconies had turned fresh green, dripping yet! The gusts of wind were making the shower parade on the wet roads. The reflecting car lights got even more life and reach, thanks to the water puddles.

The soulful music in the background caught my attention back. It was my favourite bollywood number, well suiting the blessed, joyous, playful mood. An immediate sense of gratitude overtook me for this blessed a moment.

Sooner than I thought, the road got for active again. Pedestrians walking with caution, holding on to the edges of their clothes. Shopkeeper pulling up the half dropped shutters of their shops. Car horns beeping relentlessly.

It was time to go in for some more studies.
